Subaru Showcases Custom Performance Cars at SEMA

Soon enough, the all-new 2012 Subaru Impreza will begin rolling into dealerships across the country. To say the least, Southern Oregon Subaru Mitsubishi is pretty excited to see all of the upgrades to this sporty favorite. But, we were even more excited to see what else the Japanese automaker had up their sleeves at the 2011 SEMA show in Las Vegas. And they did not disappoint.

Vehicles on display at the Subaru booth included Mark Higgins' Isle of Man Production WRX STI - the same model that set the new record for fastest production car lap time earlier this year. Other models at the show were the Performance Tuning WRX STI 4-door, 2012 Subaru Impreza Sport 5-door and 4-door accessory vehicles, David Higgins' Rally America Championship WRX STI, and even a 1986 Subaru XT Drive Magazine restoration project. Even two Subaru Team USA drivers were there alongside the enhanced cars to sign autographs!

According to Gary Palanjian, Vice President, Parts and Service, Subaru America, it was a no brainer to bring these enhanced models to the show. He says, "SEMA continues to command the attention of the aftermarket tuning world and is the perfect place to showcase our latest SPT parts...With the upcoming launch of the all-new 2012 Impreza, Subaru has a great opportunity for Subaru Genuine Parts and SPT accessory sales."1
